03/31/2025 This review is long overdue. I’ve been seeing Dr. Vijeh for over 4 years now and have been so happy with his care. I’ve had some not so fun teeth issues requiring fillings and crowns. He always goes out of his way to make sure I understand every procedure and am comfortable during the procedures. His bedside manner is truly impeccable. The staff are equally amazing. 07/25/2024 I have been going to Dr. Vijeh since around Covid when we were all still scared of going outside for fear of contracting this invisible virus. I got the recommendation from a friend, and I ultimately chose this dental office because of all the precautions they took to ensure patient safety. Everyone was double masked, they had good ventilation, and multiple air purifiers setup throughout the office. I have been going every since. The thing I like most is Dr. Vijeh walks me through all my options when I need work done and helps me decide what is best for the long-term and also the financial considerations.
I had a situation on one tooth where it was unclear if I needed a root canal or if we could get by with a filling for now. I did not want a root canal (have had several and I know sometimes they can be avoided). I spoke with Dr. Vijeh about it, we took some X-rays, and he confirmed that while a root canal was probably where I was headed in the future we could get by with trying to address the problem with a filling if I was willing to try and let him carefully treat the tooth. He successfully did the filling and it has been 4 years now with no issues on the tooth.
Writing this review just after leaving my recent 6-month cleaning appointment and thought it was time to let others know :)
I live in Walnut Creek and drive to Berkeley because when you find a dentist you trust it's worth a few extra miles. My whole family now goes here. Poria Asaad Google

03/29/2024 I’ve been going to Dr. Vijeh since he took over the practice of Dr. Tom Cane. I could not have asked for an easier transition because of the expert care and compassion that Dr. Vijeh brings to his dental practice, just like Dr. Cane. He has done numerous procedures for me and in every case, he has demonstrated how thorough and expert he is at dentistry. He always used up-to-date technology and good humor to make any procedure easier, whether it was a routine exam or a 2-hour procedure. He does what’s necessary to help me keep my mouth healthy without suggesting unnecessary and expensive procedures, making it easy for me to trust his judgement and process. Thanks, Dr. Vijeh!! 03/25/2024 Without a moments hesitation, I would recommend Sam Vijeh. He is a highly skilled dentist with a huge heart! After patiently responding to every question I had prior to my last appointment with him, and consistently checking in with me to make sure I was comfortable during the procedure, I was so peaceful and relaxed. Kind of in a meditative state! If you’re searching for a dentist who is ethical, compassionate, thoughtful and a master of his craft, I believe you’ve already found him. The search may very well be over.
And his staff is professional as well as exceptionally helpful and welcoming. 🥰

03/25/2024 Dr. Vijeh carefully explains not only his recommended course of treatment but also alternative options that are available. He leans towards a conservative approach - protecting the tooth as much as possible. He is also something of a perfectionist in ensuring that everything is done just right -- which is exactly what you want in a dentist. Great guy! JG Ryan Google

03/25/2024 Tom Cane was the best dentist l've ever had. He was careful and deliberate in everything he did. Fortunately Tom chose his replacement the same way he went about his practice.....with great care. This is manifest in his successor, Dr Sam Vijeh. Sam has now been my dentist and my husband’s dentist several years and has continued the high standards set by Tom Cane, since he retired. He is literally a "chip off the old block". When I had an emergency, he stayed after hours to see me. Sam seems to me like family, someone I trust. The work he has performed has been perfect, professional and comes with a lovely bedside manner. I unreservedly recommend Dr Sam Vijeh to anyone who cares about the dentist they select. 03/23/2024 I recently changed my dentist for a personal reason and found Dr. Vijeh on Google as a top dentist in Berkeley. After meeting Dr. Vijeh who is very gentle and informative about all the treatments that I need and his team who are super kind and friendly I believe he is one of the best dentists I've ever met. 03/19/2024 I inherited Dr. Sam Vijeh from my wonderful dentist Dr. Thomas Cane who retired and under whose care I was for his entire career of over 40 years. I knew Dr. Cane would choose carefully who would continue his incredible care, and I was thrilled to meet and have work done by Dr. Vijeh. 08/31/2023 I hadn’t seen a dentist in several years. I made an appointment with Dr. Vjeh and was very nervous that he was going to pick my teeth apart. Instead Dr. Vjeh proved to be the most gentle, eloquent, well articulated, most knowledgeable, and well prepared dentist that I have ever seen. I will recommend him to anyone and everyone.
